handle opens or closes. by swinging it you can get out or close your self. you can get free or be in seclusion.
wing and handle is a methaphor of getting out or being closed like a bird which can get out from a cage by swinging it's wings. it is also the connection of opposites.
open - closed, in - out, free - caged;
private - public, women - men, right - left;
white - black, heaven - hell, good - bad, old - new;
light - heavy ............ soft but strong.
bird's wing as a handle is a bit of poetry in everyday life. soft but strong it is thought to be made from feathers, but for commercial uses it can be also made from corian sculptured or poured in wing shaped forms. a little of transparency will give it a feather-like look. Mechanically a bent on the wing and the shape of it's main structure are simmilar to commonly used handle shapes,
also the movement of it. colors chosen are black and white to accent the opposite meaning of the handle.
