this logo integrates three main products developped by moleskine: a notebook, a writing instrument and a bag. it is composed of basic shapes, the square, like most of moleskine products. for the cmyk/rgb version two colored dots were added to the i letter. but these dots became naturally... squares, again. these two colored squares are a reference to creativity. moleskine creates sober and elegant products and the users add the colors and express their creativity in many different ways. that’s why these colors are discreet.. the message could be:”we make the support, bring your art !”
the typography is a reference to the strap of the notebooks.
