designer's own words:
giclée – These art works has been prepared by giclée technology (digital art print). Giclée print is a superior quality reproduction which became most popular in the past decade and has been classified to the technologies of traditional fine arts. ‘Giclée’ is a French word which means "to spatter out”, "to squirt or spurt", a term that refers to the way ink is applied to paper. The word 'Giclée' is associated with the product of the process which is print. Giclée process is based on digital technology. Even under high magnification the dot pattern is virtually invisible and the image appears to be continuous-tone - like the original artwork itself. The dot-pattern of these prints is invisible to the naked eye.
limited edition – Nowadays giclée takes the place of etching. The copper plates were destroyed after creating the limited edition to make further reproduction impossible. Giclée prints have the signature of the author and an ordinal number on the back of the canvas. Every single print has its own certificate made by the artist, which includes the ordinal number, the signature and the data of the item. Even as the image the certificate gets a hologram tag with the same ordinal number. Without these security elements the print becomes valueless.
canvas - The giclée prints are printed on a high quality canvas with a professional printer using modern leading technologies. The factory guarantees for 200 years the quality of the material and the long permanence of colors.
