freakshow by kirsty minns from uk
designer's own words:
White earthenware
A non-series of ceramic pieces created by flaws in the technical process of ceramics. A result of a yearlong thesis looking at the freakshow and design.
“For me the lesson is the random nature of the technical processes excepting as virtues what are normally rejected by industrial production”
All these freak objects truly signify difference, like the freakshow that has continued to have a role in society in one form or another since the 17th century these could be seen as designs attempt to escape from the banal mundane realities of everyday life.
