finger scalin' by gregoire jeanmonod from switzerland
designer's own words:
This scale uses the basic principle of the lever. Using your finger to reach balance determines the weight. The scale is made out of cast iron, and as the end part is wider, it uses its own weight as counterbalance.
Spaces for finger correspond to the most common weights used when cooking: 20, 40, 100, 200 and 500 grams.
I believe cooking should be fun and pleasant for the senses. Apart from its innovative principle (using one’s finger), this object has the kind of appeal that makes you want to grab it and start cooking. Clean, simple, fun.
