designer's own words:

CONCEPT >>Thinking abut parking we came to the conclusion that garage underground parking is THE thing of the future. It sets the streets free and lets the urban surrounding breathe and function more efficiently. All other kind of futuristic systems tend to overlook the user and the simplicity and/or the function of driving itself. Therefore we set off thinking how to make the underground parking more efficient and how to push it up to date. We present a small design innovation that could make a world of difference.

TECHNICALYTIES >>Just thinking about finding a free spot to park puts most of the drivers nervous. We present a simple system of garage lightning based on double green and white rectangular lamps. These lamps are constructed out of a net of led bulbs of a certain strainght. They produce a GREEN light over a parking spot that is free and a WHITE light over an already taken parking place. With their dimensions (2 x 5 m) they attract the drivers attention from a far. By the colour and the strainght of light they produce, they lure the drivers on to free spots-by intuition. By constructing a simple system of green and white lights not only do we help the endless search for a free parking spot, we also change the outlines of the underground parking making it more urban, easier to use, and just a little bit more stylish.

>> As the drivers need to be looking for a G-reen spot in some future marketing campaign it could be advertised as ”Find your G(reen) spot”, connecting it with visuals and double meanings to the Gräfenberg Spot, or THE G-Spot;).
