Feel it

Feel it by ricardo nascimento from netherlands

designer's own words:

the idea of this work was to allow people to not only see the curves but feel it with their hands. the touch is a sense that sometimes is left behind by digital technologies and "feel it" comes to bring back this natural and nice experience, bringing together the best of the analog and digital world. the fact that it uses no fancy visuals focus the attention on the car itself and the sounds. play is also a important aspect of this proposal. people should touch together and together they can do more. by touching the points and their bodies to make connections people collaborate and create curves with their bodies, again in reference to the proposed theme.

The soft part (fur skin) will be made having a real car as a model. The interactive skin will be made using flexible circuit techniques em embedded sensors using a microcontroler (arduino) to connect to the computer. The sound piece will be made using max/msp.
