FALLEN APPLES by Erika Gabor from hungary
designer's own words:
FALLEN APPLES
'FALLEN APPLES' IS AN ARCHITECTURAL SPATIAL COMPOSITION OF TRANSITIONAL SPACES. THE CONCEPT BASED ON THE VISION OF A GARDEN WITH ENLARGED APPLE TORSOS. THE BIGGEST APPLE IS A PAVILION FOR MEDITATION. THERE IS ONLY A WOODEN PLATFORM IN IT THAT IS SUITABLE FOR RELAXING. THE APPLE PAVILION IS SURROUNDED BY THE COVERED-OPEN 'APPLE PEEL PAVILIONS'. THE SPHERICAL SHELLS ARE MONOCOQUE CONSTRUCTIONS MADE OF REINFORCED CONCRETE. THE BOTTOMS OF THESE STRUCTURES ARE LOWERED INTO THE GROUND. INTEGRATION IN THE NATURE IS THE FUNDAMENTAL ASPECT OF THE DESIGN. THIS SPATIAL COMPOSITION CAN BE SET UP IN THE HIROSAKI APPLE PARK.
