designer's own words:

project: evoovum

first idea of this design concept was the dualism of teenager living.
on one hand the teenager is very sensible when exploring selfconsciousness.
so there is a demand for a furniture, that gives the chance for cocooning and finding themself.
on the other hand a teenager has to take part in social business to find out what is the answers of
the other teenagers to the elementary questions.
so the furniture should also have the function of giving a group of teenagers a premium environment.
the body of the evoovum was constructed of four seat bowls and a multirack.
all pieces can be simply fixed together by sticks.
a metalbridge gives also stability to this furniture and in addition to that, the bridge has other functions.
first it produces the cocoon-environment, that is helpful in selffindingprocesses.
then it can be divided into two parts by a simple stickin solution.
the one part is a frame, that includes a board. this can be a pinboard or a pc-screen
with a flexibility in every direction.
the other side of the metalbridge has also a function as a backrest of the office chair and can
also form a small conference table with the smallest mattress.
the multirack has in front two boxes for things.
on the other side is a hidden office table, which can be pulled out of the rack.
under the table is located a drawer for office things.
under the drawer is a place for secret things or the pc-unit can be installed there.
the green eyes has the function of bulleyes, to let a smooth light come in and be able to check out, what going on outside the cocoon.
there is a curtain in the same color and transparent as an additional equipment.
this curtain has little magnetic buttons on the top for easy fixing on the metalbridge.
the namegiving is from evolution (evo) and the latin word for egg (ovum).
