everything old is new again by joe hill from australia
designer's own words:
Each of the following doors is conceived as a radical reinterpretation of existing door forms and their meanings.
1) Bi-focal Door: The ubiquitous top and bottom panels of a traditional door have been interpreted as lenses. The door is a single piece of cast resin (copolyester) with convex recesses. The effect is a door that carries light unevenly from one room to the next - the recesses either become dark, or light, pools of colour.
2) Glass House Door: This door is inspired by a rustic cabin door. Simple wood plank construction translated into perspex becomes an intricate geometry of light.
3) Scribble Door: A single, energised drawn line, laser etched into alluminium or wood veneer suggests schoolyard vandalsim/modern art/a mysterious signage system.
