euphoria sensoria by Samir Saurabh from india
designer's own words:
By the use of metalsmithing techniques, connecting and beading, I transformed wires into circles. The circles were entangled together to form spheres and the spheres were attached to each other in such a way that they spin. The spinning of a sphere creates interest in the viewer and the wearer.
I strive to make lighter jewelry pieces which provide volume. Through the bold and spherical shape of the neck pieces, I aim to draw attention towards how something moves and lays on the body. Hoping to change the way jewelry looks and can be, one of a kind, I want to tell, that jewelry apart from being a personal adornment, also connects to the wearer emotionally.
Materials used: Copper Strip, Zinc Wire
Concept:
I saw through the lines, Straight lines twisted to rings, it made me feel so surrounded,
Crossed what we don’t cross, broke what we don’t break, now we just...see through,
Then something now unfolded, The lines are more than blurred, Its more than just disturbed,
Then again, it’s not there anymore, I know you still wonder...
Just the empty space!
I’m Trying to offer sense of relief
I’m with you people, Surrounded by the lines, rings
