Modern era motivated me for this project entitled “Ergo 24”. The word “ergo” in Greek refers to both work of art and work-site. Plastic materials used in work-sites are also used inside these pieces.
My project consists of a low single seat ( materials: transparent plastic foil top, orange plastic protect ional for worksites and building constructions, white plastic foil, chipboard and inox 1,5 mm. Dimensions : 60cm X 60 cm X 31,5 cm height ), a double one ( same materials as the previous seat. Dimensions : 60 cm X 140 cm X 31,5 cm height ) and a table of the same style ( materials : glass 5 mm “crystal” top, orange plastic protect ional for worksites and building constructions, HPL white on chipboard, inox 1,5 mm, iron bar 20 X 20 mm chromium plated or inox bar 20 X 20 mm. Dim. : 140 cm X 60 cm X 31,5 cm height ).
I consider this work innovative regarding the following aspects:
• It is important that the pieces of furniture are comfortable.
• The materials are strong, enduring and waterproof, which makes them easy to clean.
• Good quality materials are combined with modern design and low production cost.
I consider these to be necessary qualities for furniture in order to meet the needs of a teenager’s modern way of life. These pieces can be combined with a variety of activities and can be placed in a bedroom, a study-room, in pubs and bars as well as in stores that appeal to teenagers.
