e-motti (mutifunctional furniture)

The e-motti is designed so that the user can interact with it creating a variety of forms by transforming its neutral shape with the pressure applied to it by the body. Its color changes as it senses the energy emitted to it by the body, reflecting the mood and feeling of the user.

Materials:

Fiberglass Base – The semi-spherical base is made of a translucent fiberglass. It is the support of the e-motti and is where the energy source for the fiber-optic fabric, microchips, and I-pod is housed.

Memory Foam – A large portion of the e-motti is made of pre-formed high density memory foam that gives it its basic form.

Polyutheren Beads – A layer of fine Polyutheren Beads lies between the memory foam and the skin of fiber-optic fabric. This is there to create a soft malleable sensation to the body.

Fiber-Optic Fabric – The skin of the e-motti is made of Fiber-Optic Fabric. With the use of microchips to create luminous effects, the fabric will change color as a response to body temperature and environmental stimuli.
