Door handles were invented out of necessity. And as human progresses, so should door handles. When designing a versatile door handle for the contemporary surrounding, ergonomics logically becomes one of the top priorities. For centuries, designers around the world have been trying to formulate the perfect form that is most fitting to the hands. I propose a simple geometry that comprises of basic platonic shapes juxtaposed to optimize the sensual experience. The design respects the architecture and other interior hardware with its subtle form while achieving elegance and comfort. Material on each fixture includes interchangeable solid wood and extruded matte finished metal to complement the contextual environment.
