designer's own words:
Motion is imprinted on each corner of any inhabited place. People interacts, walks through the streets and even interchange not only things and objects but also emotions. Why not channel all these energy to create value-added? This mobile, free and ubiquitous pavilion is designed to empower and expand company’s sales network by means of a genuine way based on a direct and interactive experience with observers. Hence, companies will be able to model sound strategies to foster their corporate images avoiding big expenses coming from setting up chain stores.
Mobility, smartness, efficiency and effectiveness define this design’s spirit.
Firstly, the 12x2,5x3 meters dimensions of this system facilitate moving it by means of conventional transports and adapting it to any sort of location.
In addition, the QR codes and continuous skin, which covers this pavilion’s façade and interior walls, models a smart and alive system. It acts as a catalyst since it interacts with observers by means of their own experiences triggered by the translation of the QR codes perfectly processed by the use of smartphones and tablets. Furthermore, it settles a real-time activity dashboard that provides information about the ‘motion’ surrounding this pavilion and the visitors’ flows.
Motion in this system is translated into interaction and efficiency. On one hand, it breathes through its façade, as a human skin, by means of the direct interaction with the environment. This is possible thanks to QR codes that permit the broadcast and interchange of information with observers. The wide range of sizes on which QR codes are printed makes reading easy from any distance and fosters motion towards it as well as interests of pedestrians on the brand. On the other hand, its walls are covered by a substrate made of phosphorescent paint that easy captures sunlight to shine later in the darkness without the need of energy consumption. This is a system in continuous motion, shining during night and instilling movement and action since it captures people’s attention on its surroundings even when it is close.
Revolving panels are placed on the façade facilitating movement and activities across the pavilion. As a result, this system enables different flows on which a wide range of events and performances can be deployed (exhibitions, sales, information point, coffee shop, marketing strategies that use augmented reality, photos, games and other sort of digital contents, even a direct link to virtual spaces such as social networks).
This system models a real virtual architectural frame on which motion is imprinted by means of digital interchange and visitors flows. This pavilion is unique, revolutionary, self-sufficient and effective as well as ‘techie’ and its façade is the basement of a digital and content-exchange space.
