I tried to give tiles used in the traditional way – on floors and walls – a new look.
Instead of a pattern, I use writing, which on a bigger surface falls in the place of a calm, linear pattern. The sentences on “water” and “drop” playfully shift meaning.
I imagine a white porcelain tile with etched letters.
A blurred image of a water drop may be added, although not on every tile, as repetition would reduce it to pattern.
