down to the last drop... by menelaos florides from denmark
designer's own words:
Down to the last drop is a personal fog catcher. The surface area of the mesh on the leaves is enough to collect 1+ litres of water a day
by catching moisture and filtering it through 3 steps before it can be safe for drinking.
The base is cut out of a flat 3 or 5 mm sheet of plywood, laminated on one side (laminated with glossy paint from organic material),
soaked in warm water and bent on a jig
the glass is blown, maybe using recycled bottles cut to size?
the filters are from top to bottom , easy to wash sediment trap, coconut “COIR” fibre filter, and a perforated ceramic cup
that you refill with activated carbon granules.
the fog catcher leaves are made with soaked and bent 1mm plywood covered with a green coloured mesh,
then they slot into the grooves of the steel rod.
the steel rod connects in one point to allow for the filters to be washed or changed plus creating a trap for the steel rod, to allow the fog catcher leaves to rotate.
