INTRODUCTION

Dot.sky is an online platform that wants to REPLACE THE BURIAL WITH THE ASCENSION involving directly municipalities and authorities of the territory. The main purpose of Dot.sky is to guide step by step families to a new way of saying goodbye to loved ones.
But we must take a step back framing the current situation through a short analysis, by defining two important concepts:

Inumazione. Is the process of burial in a light wood coffin, about 2 feet deep on the ground, to be made, necessarily, in the areas designated for that purpose. With this type of burial the period necessary for the decomposition of the wooden coffin and processing minerals in the body is about 10 years.

Tumulazione. It consists of burial in a tomb, grave or family chapel, granted by the municipality of relevance. The body is enclosed in a wooden box, which is hermetically sealed in an additional metal box. Afterwards the metal box is placed in a niche, which is closed with natural stones or other material provided by law. With this type of burial, there is a period of mineralization of the body of about 40 years. The oxidation processes are in fact extremely slow, due to poor oxygen exchange with the outside.

Taking into consideration two of the three common methods of burial, we can easily notice that in both cases death is the decomposition of the body for mineralization two feet deep on the ground in about 10 years.
For this reason we create Dot.sky. To REPLACE THE BURIAL WITH AN ASCENSION IN THE SKY.

SCENARIO

In the global society is now recognize the problem of the growth of population and consequently the problem of overcrowded cemeteries;
In addition,recently the rise of cremations marks a strong desire of a part of the population to think themselves after death not under a layers of earth, waiting to be decomposed. Dot.Sky, by taking this wish of people as starting point, makes a step towards, making real the desire, innate in man, to reunite with the sky.

DOT.SKY METHOD

From the moment of birth, the Town Hall of your City enter the data of the unborn child on the website www.dot.sky.com , which in turn will assign an username and a password to the family. If the family wishes to use the service, it will have access to the profile of the unborn child to decide everything about the funeral, if in an unfortunate case is before the age of 18, by filling out a questionnaire Dot.Sky (the questionnaire can be filled out by the family, a parent or legal guardian).

QUESTIONNAIRE DOT.SKY

The Dot.Sky questionnaire includes guidelines to follow at the moment of death such as:

 - The location of "Ascension" ( latitude and longitude ). This place of ascension can be arbitrarily chosen by the family (home, lawn, street, beach, forest, sea ..) simply by accessing to the online profile and click on the proper link. An interface similar to Google maps or Google heart is shows the available areas, free from air traffic;

- The religion adopted for the ritual;

- The personalization of the Hard Disk;

The questionnaire can be changed in any moment of life. When the child turn 18, he will be able to manage his profile by adding images, videos, speeches about his life. All this data are going to be the memories that will be use, after death, for the commemoration.

WHAT HAPPEN WHEN YOU DIE

When someone dies, the hospital will send the time of death to Dot.Sky, who will be in charge of closing the account of the deceased and collecting all information from all the personal profile of the person (images, video etc..). All data will be send to the family within an Hard disk, which is part of the kit for the ceremony.

In the meantime at the hospital, after the deceased will be "cremating" by Cryomation, an innovative system that transform dead bodies into ashes with no toxic emissions. After using liquid Nitrogen up to 196 ° below zero, the body becomes brittle, and subsequent processes of dehumidification and drying turns it into ash.
Ashes, collected inside a proper capsule (urn), will be delivered to the family by Dot.Sky , together with the Kit necessary for "Ascension ceremony".

WHAT THE KIT INCLUDES

1. DOT.SKY BALLOONS:

The Dot.Sky Balloon referring to the existing technology of weather balloons made of a highly flexible latex material or Chloroprene thick 0.05 mm. The diameter of Dot.Sky balloon will change according to the weight of the ash capsule (urn) that it has to lift (diameter estimated: 80-120 -140 cm). The lower end of the balloon consists of rigid plastic element designed to fix the ash capsule inside the balloon, to accommodate a small video camera with integrated GPS and to inflate the balloon with helium, gas that allows the Dot.Sky Ballon to rise up from the ground.

2. DOT.SKY HARD DISK:

The Dot.Sky Hard Disk contains all the information stored by the deceased during is life in his personal Dot.Sky profile (available at www.dot.sky.com), such as videos, songs or playlists, photos,etc. All information will be visible by everyone with a smartphone or touch pad the day of the "ascension" thanks to a wireless system provided by the Hard Disk itself. Moreover the hard disk is connected via Wireless with the camera installed in the Dot.Sky Balloon, so people can watch the video till the balloon explode.
The Dot.Sky HardDisk can be personalized as requested in the questionnaire. Dot.Sky allows maximum customization about form, colour in any sort of engraving.

3. PICKETS/ BALLAST: After inflated the Dot.Sky balloon must be kept on the ground until the moment of the cutting of the rope by these elements. The choice of using pickets rather than the ballast depends on the nature of the ground where the function will be performed.
Both elements will be provided by the technician.

4. ASHES CAPSULE made in degradable material (the dimensions of the capsule varies accordingly with the amount of ash that must contain).

5 Assembly instructions and procedures for the Ascension. The Dot.Sky service provides assistance for inflation of the Dot.Sky Balloon by a qualified technician, who is going to bring the helium.

6. ROPE

CEREMONY - THE ASCENSION

The ascension must occur within 48 hours from the day of death. The family and people related will head in the predefined location and will start the proceedings:

- LET THE TECHNICIAN INFLATING THE BALLOON AND SWITCH ON THE CAMERA AND THE GPS;

- SWITCH ON THE DOT.SKY HARD DISK AND give the password only to the guests of the funeral

-ANYONE CAN CATCH UP WITH MEMORIES OF THE BELOVED WHO PASSED AWAY, BY CONNECTING THE SMARTPHONE OR THE TOUCHPAD TO THE HARD DISK;

- WHEN READY CUT THE ROPE WHICH CONNECTS THE BALLOON TO THE GROUND

- Check on personal devices the video of the ascension of the balloon(he gps-camera placed on the balloon will communicate with the hard disk and portable devices) UP to a height of about 30-40 km until atmospheric pressure DESTROYS THE Doc.Sky Ballom and the ashes of the deceased join the atmosphere .
The gps just before the explosionwill send the exact coordinates of the balloon to the hard disk on the ground so you can know which portion of sky your bellowed is in. The family will remember their loved ones by watching the sky.
The ascent takes an hour and the maximum point and before the outbreak the earth is visible in its totality. through the absence of microphones, the moment will be unforgettable in the complete silence of space.
After the ceremony what remains is the hard disk that will contain the entire life of the deceased and the video of the ascent of the balloon which can be viewed at any time by connecting to the device.
