designer's own words:
the form of our proposal comes from the study of a door-handle making it useful not only for opening and closing the door, but for providing information on the status of the room. our design can provide additional information on restrictions, individuals, institutions, addresses, and even advertising. apart from the standard use of opening and closing the door, the handle has two positions, a neutral one, in which the crank does not reveal any information about the status of the room it opens, and a second position, that allows the user to communicate a short message while blocking the lock on the door.
the handle is made out of brass and it´s finish can adapt to trends and environments, but from our point of view the finish "mat chrome" would be the most universal and therefore, the one represented in our proposal. the graphic design can be silkscreen printed or printed and stuck with adhesive.
