do door by antonio gardoni from italy
designer's own words:
do-door
a door’s handle like a vibrating object that reacts to movement and resonates creating a gentle sound in the air.
do-door is a handle inspired by a tuning fork (diapason), an object that has a strong metal appearance but at the same time reveals trough the vibrations its music soul.
the idea is to create an handle with a clean and practical design that “translate” the movements of the door into sounds when the door close gently or bangs hardly, or even when the handle is released with the closing/opening action.
the fixing cylinder “hugs” the handle without trapping it in its shape, leaving the tuning fork shaped handle as free as possible and almost suspended in front of the foor.
