Dime:
This was conceived as a work station for the kitchen but could really be used anywhere that you'd want a decorative working cabinet. Coffee/tea station in a dining or conference room; breakfast cabinet in a luxury hotel or even a telephone/admin desk in your entrance hall.
The blades (all 10 of them) shuffle right back to reveal unrestricted access to a stone surface with your appliances already plugged in and ready to go.
With the doors closed the artistry of the piece becomes more evident. Inspired by the sight of a stationary coin spinning beneath a single light source with only its glinting edges revealing the true dymnamics of the situation.
