cube plays with concepts of motion and inertness. as a designed object, cube compliments modern architecture and doesn’t appear to be more than it is – a door handle. by using cube, the user’s experience of a door handle is different. the handle is coated with black rubber which gives it a soft, warm touch. the highlight of this handle that takes it beyond the average design is a simple mechanism which allows the lever to be the only moving component, while the steel base plate and front plate remain inert.
