crockery and crumbles by mathilde christmann from france
designer's own words:
Corian is an hygienic and clean material so it is very well adapted to the kitchen. But for me, it needs a sense of story and sensibility. Thanks to engraved and printed pattern on the drawers and the shelves of the kitchen. I decided to fuse the parctical and functional nature of kitchen storage with the sensual nature of cooking. Outlines of crockery and traces of backing make people feel like cooking. With those patterns, we tidy away, but especially we already feel like preparing and making food and cakes, because it is a moment of conviviality. Thanks to those patterns, the people who are invited can easely find what they are looking for and feel well at ease.
