Cradle by Jenny Docherty from uk

designer's own words:

Throughout a products lifespan all the small dents and scratches caused by the owner give a product its individuality. These marks allow the user to distinguish their products from others, this is what gives users an emotional attachment to certain items.

Users normally anticipate wear and tear of products negatively; cradle is a wallet design that looks to change this outlook. The wallet will enhance over time not diminish.

As the wallet is used a pattern emerges as a result of wear, the parts the user comes into contact the most will wear the most. This allows the user to become emotionally attached to the product, as their connection is what unveils the personality of the wallet.
