designer's own words:

The Cork_It bluetooth headset is a commentary on the public and private nature of wireless headset communication. Taking inspiration from the vernacular english phrase "Put a Cork In It!" (which means to quiet down), this headset is a visual representation of the act of listening. By "corking" an ear, the wearer communicates that he is blocking out external noises and focusing on the wireless communication. The fusion of natural materials and high-tech materials creates a visual juxtaposition that supports this duality. The earpiece uses bone conduction technology to provide clear communication. A microphone slot is located on the side. The device is turned on by tapping the plastic end of the piece. Iconic in shape and material, the Cork_it has potential to become a recognizable accessory in fashion and culture.
