design: the "connect" door handle is purposefully designed for contemporary homes. “connect” aesthetically reflects the architectural structure it is a part of. this is something that the homeowner will truly appreciate.

manufacturing: the “connect” door handle is made up of two simple parts; a metal piece and a wood piece that are joined together by one screw. the metal and wood would be available in different finishes, allowing the homeowner to customize his/her “connect” door handles. recycled mill ends can be used to fabricate the wood piece. the metal piece can be casted.

ergonomics: the wood piece has soft chamfered back edges that provide for a comfortable hand gripping experience. the ergonomics of “connect” doesn’t alter its aesthetics, but enhances it, making “connect” simply beautiful.

process: research was done on contemporary style homes, and respective homeowners. several sketches and mockups were also done to accomplish the final design.
