we are drowning in electronic junk. how about this: incorporate computer components into retrofit and new construction by, for example, using keyboards in staircases--extend the tread and nosing an inch or so and it works. my staircase is too narrow to accommodate two keyboards across, but you get the idea. dress them up, keep them plain, whatever. we have to look at the world in a new way.
