compass

for ‘hands on door handles’, i have tried to look at door lever handles in a new way. to be able to accomplish another point of view, i have split the object, visually, in two parts. in compass the accent lies on the moving part of the door handle.
i wanted this to be a strong, bold, autonomous object, which stands on its own. in the end i saw the shape of the handle is referring to the moving needle of a compass.
in my opinion compass should be made of stainless steel (drawing nr. 3) or a nice mono-colour plastic (drawing nr. 4).
