CO-MO stands for code based mode lighting. It is a Light design based upon the concept of human centric lighting. The products allow user to create beautiful and magical spaces that respond and interact with people and their lighting needs through the course of a day. The light come with an app which is to be installed in the users mobile phone. There are 4 prescribed options of lighting to choose from with varying lux levels and sculptural quality to suit the varying activities of an individual during the day. The user begins by feeding his lighting requirements into the app during it’s usage for the initial week. Based upon this initial user routine the app averages and begins to ‘ ANTICIPATE’ the users daily routines and reacts accordingly. The design generates interest in the user while giving an energy efficient design solution to decorative lightings. The project started off as an experiment in interactive design. After a succesful first experiment, i the idea is being implemented here for the design and conceptualisation of an industry grade product. The materials used are stainless steel, glass or acrylic rods, arduino, motors and sensors. Rest of the project detailing is expresed in the presentation images.
