clave sol by jose pablo cordero from costa rica
designer's own words:
inspired in music notes, the clave sol system incorporates modern technology, social, study and sleeping areas. Because teens need privacy, this system has an acrylic wall to separate the social and sleeping areas from the rest of the room. This allows the teen to enter his/her own space, tune to music and forget about everything else. The seating area is customizable, the teen can choose between different surfaces such as huge cotton balls, gum shaped seating or macarroni puffs. Because teens also need to study, there is a desk on the outside of the space for a computer. Part of this desk runs over to the inside for audio equipment. There is also a special table in the social area for visual equipment. The space also has flexible magnetic cabinetry that can be arranged as desired on the metallic section of the walls.
