City Tree is a public facility which embraces people to interact with and arouse their environmental sense. By symbolizes the life circle of a tree, it conveys the mystery and magic of nature.
City tree consists of two parts: sand funnel for passers by to interact with and LED screen to provide visual feedback. In the interaction process, the user can feel free to pull the sand into the funnel, then on the screen, they can see that leaves are generating from the bottom. The scattering leaves also illuminate the city.
Life is short, but at the same time, it can be eternal, as long as we endow them with spirit. I hope that this design can facilitate a sense of empathy among people, and keep reminding them: life is always there, just waiting for you to discover.
