this "ribbon" is curved so that let fingers more comfort grip.
however there also can be modifications of this model with usage of inserts from different materials(wood, leather, stone etc.).
design implies manufacturing symmetrical products for left and right sides.
materials: steel with chrome coating.
fabrication method: die casting.
"columns like" filling can be made of mild steel rod with connection to the lever by resistance welding.
models with inserts implies their fastening by glue. there is also a groove on the inner side of the lever for better adhesion in these models.
