Camellia Pin Installation

The symbol of Matsuyama is the Camellia flower.
I suggest creating a large wall installation that consist of hundreds of small pins with this symbol. A red wall full of camellia pins that people can "pick" and take home with them.

The pins are combined of photographs of wild camellia flowers in various angles, printed on either aluminium or wood then laser cut to the shape of the flower. Each image is mounted on a simple golden pin back. The pins are then pushed into a wall to create the installation.

People visiting the fair can choose a pin from the wall, take a pin clutch from the standing container and wear a "Camellia".

As the fair advances and more people take and wear pins, the wall empties and returns to being white,.
