designer's own words:

Calabaza is a piece of furniture that is meant to be a central part of the entertainment and digital lifestyle of the user.
It also takes in account that socializing is a very important part of the teenager life. In no other stage we require more to have the approval of our peers and feel loved and respected.
Calabaza has three main functions: to hold a TV set with a videogame console or DVD player, to accommodate the visitors to one’s bedroom using the stools, and to store diverse items inside the stools.
Calabaza can be made of pine or oak wood, the upper part of the stools are padded with polyurethane foam and covered with fabric to be able to sit during the long play hours.
The mixture of a sober and a bright color help to give the young and modern touch without the risk of looking childish.
