bunker by Matias Creimer from usa

designer's own words:

BUNKER is a hybrid structure for teenagers that combines several pieces of furniture and functional environments in a compact footprint slightly bigger than that of a single bed.

It embraces the aesthetics of contemporary design for young adults, but responds to the unusual set of specific needs of teenagers. It has a bed, a TV lounge for 2, a desk, 3 drawers, 1 bookshelf and a corkboard for posters and notes.

But most importantly, BUNKER offers a sense of territorial autonomy to those in the family who need it the most. It defines physical and aesthetic boundaries of “sovereignty” within the household, and taps into the unexploited potential of furniture to define and reinforce identity.
