designer's own words:

open or close a door every day, it makes us forget how important that is. the door is much more than a simple hole, it is an endless source of dynamism of complex relationships between man and space. the braille system, which gives substance to the project, it is for all blind and visually impaired the access to the information.

this project aspires to provide more confidence, autonomy and sure of the space to which each door, all blind and visually impaired. at the top of the handle on the left side, allows the use of braille characters. communication is done in codes of four numbers. the write method is selective laser sintering. four spaces are reserved on the top of the handle, which correspond to the number of the floor and the number of the space that correspond to each door. example: 1 - first floor, 243 - living room or bedroom or library . all dimensions required by the braille system were respected.

materials and manufacture:

milled stainless steel body with a brushed aluminum surface finish. the handle are made in stainless steel because it possues an excellent combination of hardness, resistance to the corrosion. there is a 33mm gab between the handle edge and door for a comfortable and ergonomic grip. all dimensions of the handle were also respected and tested for ergonomic comfort.
by the simple touch of the overhangs on the handle, the blind has the information and the name of the floor that the door gives access.

all the metallic rose are made in stainless steel cover with sharp shape edjes, with ball bearins and all the investment metallic base and the handle neck fixing are produced in anti-friction and high mechanical resistant composit. the project extends to all spaces in public or private buildings.
