Bloom Stool is a magical stool that looks like an flower. The concept is transformation of a simple flat material into a 3D shape. I’d like to design a stool with a velcro tape, which is the characteristics of hook and loop fastener that can be fixed and detached easily. In addition, the special velcro tape has two functions of hook and loop in one, and is very friendly to the skin.

It shows a beautiful transformation that can not imagine a process from a flat sheet to a 3D shape.The assembly process to transform the sheet of a velcro tape into a stool is very simple, so you just rolls it up and then peel it off. This assembly process is similar to the flowering process so this stool is called Bloom Stool. Moreover, when viewed from top, this stool looks like a flower.

You can change the height as you like by adjusting the length and position of peeling. The gentle touch, which is the characteristic of the special velcro tape, gives the stool soft and comfortable seat feeling.

The stool has no internal structure and no finish, so it is assembled without nails or screws. As this is a very simple manufacturing process, it is possible to provide the stool as a flat sheet, and user can complete the stool just by rolling up and peeling at home. Thus, this design would solve social problems such as fabrication, distribution costs and environmental concerns.
