binder

binder by Ricardo Anderson from portugal

designer's own words:

this door handle is meant to be used indoors, being made of brass due to its bactericidal properties (door handles can be a source of contamination) and with chrome finishing.
the handle has the shape of a binder clip, with 12cm of length and 1cm of diameter. it connects to a round part with 5cm, starting with a total diameter of 3,5cm, narrowing to 2cm and then expanding to 4cm at the end. there’s also a circular shaped rose plate, to which the door handle is attached, with 6cm of diameter and 0.5cm of thickness.
the circular piece with the key hole has 4cm of diameter and 0,5cm of thickness.
there’s also silicone sleeves that make the door handle non slippery and enable the door to be opened in less conventional ways (with the elbows, for example). it also makes this door handle customizable, since the sleeves exist in different colors and each person can choose the ones that they like the most. these sleeves are easy to put and remove and are washable, so that the door handle is always clean and to give the house a different look.
