Bicycart

Bicycart by Huang, Tzu-Lin from taiwan

designer's own words:

Bicycart is a foldable electric bicycle. At traditional markets we often see many elderly women carrying bags of vegetables and fruits with great effort. They also tug their bikes along as they buy and pay for groceries at those market stalls. The bikes might not even be stabilized as they walk and stop at each stall, putting the rider in danger. Therefore, the goal of Bicycart is to make it is safe and easy for retired women to do their groceries. By simply folding it, the length of the bike can be shortened greatly. Bicycart can switch from riding mode to shopping cart mode. The shortened bike allows users to tug their bikes along while moving in a small, crowded market with greater ease.
