axis is not the result of an aesthetical research or of an ergonomic shape.
axis has two inspirational sources.
- on one hand is ispired by the functionality of the motorcycle handle(the same used by achille castiglioni in a prorotyped lamp), trying to undestand if that different functionality could be as comfortable and functional as the regular one.
- on the other hand is inspired by the gears functionality that allow to change the -axis- of a rotational movement, as the designed door handle does.
axis won't maybe answer to questions, but wants to raise doubts.
