This project has a hybrid typology i.e. it is a commercial building with the purpose of a live mill that is to be exhibited and operated for the company’s potential customers who want to set up a rice mill or a coffee bean business. The building had to be completed in 18 weeks and hence demanded modular construction which was made possible by using large quantities of steel and no concrete used beyond the plinth level. The Architecture and structure synergies to seamlessly blend to introduce a new aesthetic that is as much technical as its functionality.
