ansata human powered walker by Design lovers from italy
designer's own words:
The wheel appears in the 4th millennium BC so, isn't time to re-invent it? Of course: ANSATA is a modern vehicle, an innovative and sustainable human powered walker.
The concept of “vehicle” is closely related to the concept of “movement”; wheeled vehicles walk is however linear and static; In the other hand, Ansata opens a new perspective of movement: it walks on four flexible legs, synchronized like a horse into a trot.
The vehicle's technology is the result of meticulous studies on walker machines, linkage systems of legs, and optimized transmissions for human propulsion. Movement and bionics are the bases of the entire project; in fact, vehicle's frame is inspired to biological elements, such as frog's skeleton and anatomy.
Thinness, lightness and strength are obtained by the use of innovative and resistant materials, such as magnesium, carbon fiber and titanium.
Human factor is the heart of the project, the movement of the entire machine depends on human propulsion so, particular attention is paid to ergonomics, to driving position and to transmission system. The driver's seat is designed to help the back and the pelvis during the push on the pedals.
Ansata is dynamism, movement, nature and future: a big revolution in human trained vehicles world.
ANSATA is a human powered walker. A pedal vehicle that walks thanks to four flexible legs that mimic quadrupeds movement. Not only style… ANSATA walker is the result of meticulous studies on walker machines, linkage systems of legs, and optimized transmissions for human propulsion.
