the concept of Alpheus is based on the cork tree, a tree native to the south of portugal. cork, a raw material that constitutes the outer part of the cork tree, is a type of material that now-a-days can be transformed into several products. the handle is where an amalgam of cork is used. the use of cork in this part of the door handle is to improve its tactile effect since like this the user will not come into contact with a cold material such as steel.
