The concept of “All Around” system comes from banquets of classical period where table-companions ate laying down and such rite represented a moment of convivial joy and of games but also of conversation and discussion.
Considering that this competition is dedicated to a project for teenagers, our aim is to re-interpret the classical piece of furniture so that the project addressee can enjoy means of entertainment, play, communication and study based on XXI century technology.
From the above assumption,” All Around” is born, both in single and double version, consisting of two elements: The first one consists of a sofa with reclining back, the second one consists of a support top with boxes to contain and use all the technologies mentioned in the announcement of competition (adolescent essence is of pop
and rock, music videos and Ipods, fashion, arts, film dvds, on-line
chats, instant messaging.).
Such two elements belong to the same aluminium frame.
The supporting top slides along the length of the sofa by means of a sliding system, both in the single and in the double version. It includes also several sockets and plugs to connect and re-charge technological equipments.
Our project presents several versions but the aim is unique: being able to use our sofa day and night, alone or in group, in the centre of a room or next to a wall, in a living room or in a bedroom.

Thanks to the versatility of colours, fabrics and materials, the piece of furniture will be alive, joyful and adaptable to the several and extravagant activities that teenagers discovers at their age .
