Situated in Ahmedabad, Ahmedabad House accommodates a family of a five. The project is inspired from the traditional Indian designs. The overall design is a modern transformation of traditional Indian furniture forms, elements and skills to execute them. Designs consist primarily teak wood and brass. The project covered the whole spectrum of designs from macro to micro level. From the big pieces like cabinets, beds, sittings to lampshades, knobs and handles were designed and executed to develop the complete homogeneous and unique experience of the space. The project was executed by an extremely talented and skillful team of 15 carpenters, 3 painters and 2 fabricators in the duration of five months.
