when VOLA owner verner overgaard invited arne jacobsen to collaborate and create the ‘112’ for the national bank of denmark in 1968, an object of timeless beauty was born. the built-in tap concept hid the plumbing behind the wall, placing emphasis on the visible spout and lever, which prioritized function and proportion without compromising on style. whether taps, showers or accessories, the products VOLA has made afterwards have followed the famed designer’s fundamental principles, continuing a strong, iconic design tradition.

a core component of manufacturing, as well as the whole product process, is sustainability. VOLA believes they and their designs have a responsibility to the environment. there is an unwavering approach to quality control as only the best makes the most sustainable product. from the beginning, they are careful to source raw, honest materials from approved suppliers. then, 100% of all recycled waste is returned back to these suppliers in order to form new raw materials. the high levels of recycling are paired with low levels of energy use. water conservation is also a key factor for life cycle as precise, controlled flow performs efficiently whilst suiting all bathing preferences.
