ahead of louis vuitton spring 2020 menswear show ‘heaven on earth’, virgil abloh invites attendees with a unique timepiece that has been designed to run counter clockwise. the metallic wall-clock displays twelve embossed louis vuitton logos instead of numbers on the dial. on his instagram, virgil shares that the re-wiring of the clock was in reference to a metaphor – ‘even a broke clock is right twice a day.’

virgil continues to experiment with his fascination for timepieces. in his collaboration collection ‘MARKERAD’ with IKEA, off-white also designed a similar wall-clock with the word ‘TEMPORARY’ printed on the glass casing.

most recently, virgil gifted a custom-designed patek philippe nautilus 5726 to his good friend, drake. finished in all-green and set with emerald baguettes, this luxury timepiece undoubtedly sets highest standards on the designer’s taste for watches and expectations for upcoming timepiece projects.
