Villeroy & Boch’s relaunch of the Architectura collection

Villeroy & Boch has relaunched its complete Architectura bathroom collection. In addition to an extensive expansion, the versatile series has also been given a contemporary facelift.

The Architectura series is one of Villeroy & Boch‘s largest complete bathroom collections. The manufacturer relaunched the series at the beginning of the year, which was specially developed for projects with high demands on flexibility and cost-effectiveness. Expanded to include numerous products, sizes and features, the tried-and-tested range is now even more flexible and offers solution for almost every project type, layout and budget. Part of the relaunch, which is consistently aligned with current market needs, is also a clearly noticeable visual update: without compromising the functional simplicity of the collection, the carefully executed facelift refreshes the purist design significantly, bringing a lightness to a geometric design language that is as elegant as it is contemporary.

Stylish bathroom furniture

The new furniture collection, which complements the bathroom series for the first time, is also extremely elegant. It includes washbasin vanity units and tall cabinets in a modern, angular design and with versatile storage space. The vanity units feature basins in eight sizes, ranging from 36 to 100 centimetres, which can also be optionally chosen with the easy-care CeramicPlus surface and the antibacterial AntiBac glaze. Both base units and tall units are available in the warm wood tones Nordic Oak and Kansas Oak, as well as the timeless neutrals: White, Grey and White Matt. To meet different uses and spatial needs, there are also options with doors, drawers and open shelf elements, with all doors and drawers equipped with a soft closing functionvilleroy & boch expands its architectura collection with enhanced hygienic features

Elegant fittings

The bathroom collection has also been expanded to include taps carefully matched to the aesthetics of the washbasins. While the design of the Architectura series in classic chrome combines round tap bodies with flat, angular spouts and levers, the Architectura Square series, available in Brushed Gold, Brushed Nickel, Matt Black and Chrome, focuses entirely on a clear, geometric design language with corners and edges. Besides high-quality design, the mixer tap ranges, each consisting of three single-lever mixers, offer practical features for greater convenience and sustainability. For example, all fittings are equipped with EasyClean jet regulators that effectively protect against limescale buildup, making them particularly easy to clean. The regulators also ensure a powerful water flow, even though the flow rate is limited to a sustainable five litres per minute.

Innovative wall-hung WCs

The highlight of the expanded collection is undoubtedly the new wall-hung and rimless toilets with the innovative, water-saving TwistFlush[e³] vortex flush technology. Their redesigned look is also smoother and more harmonious, without compromising the characteristic edge of the series. The toilets come in various sizes, with round and square shapes available, and can optionally be equipped with the concealed mounting solution ViFix, the dirt-repellent CeramicPlus surface and the antibacterial AntiBac glaze. A matching round bidet with concealed mounting also complements the range.

The special feature of the new WCs is that they are equipped with the TwistFlush[e³] vortex flush technology. The technology utilises the power of the vortex to achieve optimum flushing performance and toilet hygiene with the lowest possible water consumption. Combined with the precise, high-positioned water flow and the perfectly harmonised bowl architecture, the bowl is flushed out almost completely, absolutely splash-free and so thoroughly that rinsing is generally unnecessary. With just three litres for a small flush and 4.5 litres for a large flush, TwistFlush[e³] is significantly more water-efficient than conventional WC flushes, effectively helping to reduce operating costs. Additionally, the open rim design makes the toilets easier and quicker to clean, reducing cleaning costs. With the wall-hung WCs in the Architectura collection, Villeroy & Boch is also making this innovative technology available in the entry-level price segment for the first time.

Trendy bathtubs

Apart from furniture, taps and toilets, the collection has also been expanded to include new bathtubs. Both the built-in bathtubs made of white high-gloss acrylic with a refreshed, lighter look and the trendy pre-wall bathtubs, which are part of the series for the first time, boast a modern design and match the new bathroom furniture perfectly. With an internal depth of 41.5 centimetres, the bathtubs also offer a high level of comfort while conserving water. All baths in the collection feature a central drain and can be fitted with a whirlpool system for additional bathing pleasure. While the built-in baths are available in four sizes, from the space-saving one-person model to the spacious two-person model, the pre-wall baths are each available in two sizes for installation on a straight wall or in a room’s right or left corner.
