vik boats has developed a new eco-friendly boat, free from noise, vibration and exhaust gases that can be recharged from solar panels or wind power. the hull of the boat is designed to move in an energy-efficient and silent mode of movement, allowing users to take a weekend trip on a single battery charge. the closed insulated salon comprises of a kitchen, control post and also a table with seats which can be transformed to a bed for two persons. there is also one sleeping place in the opening roof outside that is suitable to use in warmer weather.

circular glazing is incorporated in the design by vik to provide excellent visibility for the steersman and special access to the outer deck to allow carrying out mooring operations, allowing the boat to be driven single-handed. for cold or very hot climates an optional heater or air conditioner can be installed. in addition to the salon the boat has a spacious bow cabin and wc with shower cabin. on the stern there is an open cockpit with seats and a bathing platform for comfortable boarding.

the design of the cockpit makes it comfortable to fish, while the lifting device on the mast makes it easier to work with an auxiliary boat or jet ski and allows to load a heavy load into the cockpit if necessary. the electric motor is optimized for cruising speed, but has enough power to overcome strong winds and high waves. in case of unforeseen weather conditions or unscheduled route changes, a backup energy source is provided — a small diesel generator with a fuel reserve. it is also possible to install optionally solar panels and a wind generator to recharge the batteries during travel and mooring, resulting in an entirely eco-friendly boat design.
