UNOPIÙ DEBUTS SALÒ COLLECTION – A HOMAGE TO LAKE GARDA

Unopiù unveils Salò, an outdoor furniture collection designed in collaboration with Matteo Thun and Benedetto Fasciana, set to be the centerpiece of the brand’s showcase at Milan Design Week 2025. Taking its name from the shores of Lake Garda, the collection finds its perfect setting at Salvioni Milano Durini’s terraces, transforming them into a space where design and nature intertwine. Rooted in modernist principles, the furniture line draws inspiration from the Bauhaus movement and pays homage to Lina Bo Bardi, merging architectural purity with organic comfort to redefine outdoor living.

‘LA TERRAZZA SUL LAGO’ BRINGS SALÒ TO MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2025

Bringing the spirit of Lake Garda to the heart of Milan, Unopiù presents ‘La Terrazza Sul Lago,’ an installation at Salvioni Milano Durini during Milan Design Week 2025. Inspired by the lake’s serene landscapes, the setup transforms the terraces into a multi-level showcase. Here, Salò takes center stage, displayed in thoughtfully curated settings that highlight its refined materials, earthy tones, and modular compositions.

Rooted in modernist principles, the Salò collection reinterprets classic outdoor furniture through a contemporary lens. It includes lounge and dining armchairs, two- and three-seater sofas, sun loungers, and coffee tables, all crafted with an ultra-light aluminum frame available in terracotta, graphite, sage, and sand – hues that echo the lake’s reflections and surrounding landscapes. A defining element is the signature cushion system, where large folded backrest cushions contour to the body, ensuring comfort while enhancing the design from every angle with nearly invisible welds and smooth curves. Prioritizing adaptability, the stackable seating options offer a practical feature designed to meet the demands of functionality and space optimization, especially in the hospitality sector.
